The importance of your expression of wish form
Though it may feel like more tiresome admin, keeping your expression of wish form up to date is an important part of your pension planning.
The contents of your form will help the Trustees decide what happens to any lump sum benefits your loved ones may be entitled to when you die (where applicable).
Its particularly important to update your expression of wish when your circumstances change – for example, you might have had children or your personal relationships may have changed since you filled in your last form.
If you haven’t filled an expression of wish form in before, or if you can’t remember the last time you did, you can now update your details online via the new MyPension site. Alternatively, you can download and complete a form (which can then be posted to the XPS Team).
